Chapter 1
Katy's Hidden Feelings

One day Katy Hart is working at Nighthawk Diner when suddenly Camille walked in. Camille walked over to Katy.
CAMILLE: Hello Katy.
KATY: What do you want Camille?
CAMILLE: I want to know if you've gotten together with the cute guy that was in on Maya's birthday.
KATY: No, I haven't because I don't Maya to get hurt if doesn't work out.
CAMILLE: If he cares about Maya as much as you do than I don't think you have anything to worry about.
KATY: I still don't know.
CAMILLE: He's really cute and if I were you I would snag him before it's too late.
Katy's best friend Jody Neal is there and heard everything. Camille sighed than left. Jody got to her feet and walked over.
JODY: Katy, is that you?
KATY: Yes, it's me.
JODY: It's me Jody.
KATY: Wow, Jody is so great too see you.

JODY: I've been really good.

All of a sudden Maya walked with Riley and Shawn.

First Date

It has been a week since Katy and Shawn secretly started dating. Katy is on the couch when Maya came from her room. Katy sighed.
MAYA: What's wrong mom?
KATY: I was just thinking about what my future holds.

KATY: I want use to be happy.
MAYA: Mom, I am happy because you and I finally getting along.

All of a sudden Katy's cellphone rang. Katy looked at the phone and seen Shawn's name. Katy shook her head and hit the talk button.
SHAWN (on the phone): Hi, Katy.
KATY: You're up in early.

SHAWN: I'll meet you in the park around to 7:30pm.
KATY: Oh okay see than.
Shawn smiled and blew Katy a kiss than left. Katy walked back inside.
MAYA: What was that all about mom?
KATY: You'll find out when the time is right.
MAYA: Are you working today?
KATY: Yes, I am and I won't home until really late.
MAYA: Oh okay, I'll just go over to Riley's place after school.

Katy got ready for work and left. Maya went to get Riley and they went to school. A few hours later Katy is home trying to figure out what to do wear on her date with Shawn. Katy can't decided so dialed The Matthews's number. Topanga picked up the phone.
TOPANGA: Hello, this is Topanga Matthews.
KATY: Topanga, it's Katy.
TOPANGA: Maya told me that were working late tonight.
KATY: I only told her that she didn't find out about what I'm really doing tonight.
TOPANGA: What do you mean?
KATY: If you come on the apartment I'll explain.
Topanga hung up the phone than went to Katy's apartment. Topanga knocked on the door. Katy opened the door and pulled Topanga inside.
TOPANGA: What is going on?
KATY: I've got a date tonight.

KATY: Topanga, you can't tell Maya because if it ends badly than neither of us want her to get hurt.

KATY: You can tell Cory but he has promise too.

TOPANGA: When are you going to tell Maya?
KATY: I don't really know yet.

Katy walked over to her closet and so did Topanga. Topanga spotted a Classic Little Black Dress. Topanga took the dress out.
TOPANGA: You should wear this.
KATY: If I wear that than he won't be able to keep his eyes of me.
TOPANGA: That's the whole point Katy.
Katy went into the bathroom and changed into the Classic Little Black Dress. Katy walked out a few minutes later.
KATY: What do you think?
TOPANGA: Shawn's eyes are totally going to be glued to all night.
KATY: I'd like that.
TOPANGA: What do you mean?

KATY: How should I wear my hair?

KATY: It would but I don't know how to do one.

Topanga does Katy's hair in a french braid. Katy got ready than went to the park to meet up with Shawn. Katy looked around but didn't seen Shawn anywhere. All of a sudden a pair on hands covered Katy's eyes. Katy started to panic.
SHAWN: Katy, it's me.
Shawn took his hands away and Katy turned around. Shawn is wearing a white shirt, his leather jacket and pair tight fitted blue jeans.
KATY: Wow, Shawn you look gorgeous.

Shawn took Katy's hand and they walked hand in hand to a restaurant nearby that just opened up. The owner looked up when Shawn and Katy walked in.
OWNER: Can I help you?
SHAWN: I've a got reservation under Hunter.
The owner looked threw the book.
OWNER: Here it is Hunter party for two.
SHAWN: That's it.
OWNER: Alright, follow me.
The owner started to walk off. Shawn and Katy followed him hand in hand. The owner stopped at small cubicle. Shawn sat down and Katy sat across from him. The owner passed them each a menu.
SHAWN: Thank you.
OWNER: The waitress will over shortly to take your orders.
The owner left. Katy looked at Shawn.
KATY: I can't believe you made reservations.
SHAWN: Well, I did.
They looked over the menu.
KATY: How does spaghetti sound?
SHAWN: That sounds good.
KATY: What about drinks?
SHAWN: I was thinking we could get a milkshake with two straws.
KATY: Shawn, are you romantic?
SHAWN: I'll let be the judge of that one.
KATY: Are we going to two plates spaghetti?
SHAWN: I was thinking sharing one plate.
The waitress walked over to them.
WAITRESS: Hi, my name is Jada Dale and I'll be your waitress tonight.
SHAWN: We would like a a plate of spaghetti and a chocolate milkshake with two straws.
JADA: Alright.
SHAWN (sotto) Could you also bring a single red rose for my date?
JADA: Yes, I can do that.
Jada left.
KATY: What did you whisper to her?
SHAWN: You'll see.
Jada walked back over and passed Katy a single red roses.
JADA: Your boyfriend wanted to have this.
Katy gasped than glared at Shawn.
KATY: Shawn Hunter.
SHAWN: That's my name.
Jada left again.
KATY: When is your birthday?
SHAWN: My birthday is October 11th.
Katy gasped.
KATY: Wow, that's so cool because my birthday is October 8th.
SHAWN: How old will you be?
KATY: I'll be 32 years old.
SHAWN: You were only 18 years old when Maya was born.
KATY: That's right.
SHAWN: She's a very lucky young lady to have a mother like you.
KATY: How old will you be on your birthday?
SHAWN: I'll be 35 years old.
KATY: That means you are three years older than me.

Jada walked over to them with the plate of spaghetti and the chocolate milkshake. They stared to get the spaghetti than suddenly realized that they have same piece and kissed. They finished their supper and Shawn pays for it.
KATY: Where are you going now?
SHAWN: We are going for moonlight walk in the park.
KATY: You are romantic.
SHAWN: I am and proud of it.
Katy just laughed. They walked to the park hand in hand. All of a sudden Katy started to shiver. Shawn took of his leather jacket and put it around Katy's shoulders.

SHAWN: I don't want you getting sick on me.
KATY: That's so sweet.
They walked hand in hand around the park for a few hours. Shawn walked Katy to her apartment door and kissed her goodbye than went to his apartment. Katy opened up the door and leaned against the door. Katy suddenly realized that she is still wearing Shawn's jacket. Maya suddenly walked into the room. Katy gasped. Maya noticed the leather jacket on her mother.

KATY: It's belongs to a someone that was at the diner.
Maya sighed than went back to sleep. A few hours later Katy is bed dreaming about Shawn and Shawn is bed dreaming about Katy. Topanga is sleeping in Cory's embrace.

Shawn's Sick Day

It has been almost a month since Shawn and Katy's first date. Katy still has Shawn's jacket. Katy is just leaving to go work when Shawn appeared.
SHAWN: Good morning.
KATY: Mornin' handsome.
SHAWN: Are you heading to work?
KATY: Yes, I am.
SHAWN: Would you like me to walk you there?
KATY: That would be nice.
SHAWN: I was hoping you'd like that.
KATY: Shawn, I still have your leather jacket.
SHAWN: It's alright you can keep it.
KATY: Are you sure?

Shawn and Katy walked to the Nighthawk Diner hand in hand. Shawn kissed Katy goodbye than Katy walked inside. Camille is there sitting at the booth. Camille looked at Katy and noticed the glow on her face.

SHAWN: I got home after walking you to work than I started to have trouble breathing.
KATY: Are you okay?
SHAWN: Yes, I think so but I've got stay here for awhile.
KATY: Riley and Maya were at my place crying when I got home.

SHAWN: How did you get in to see me?
KATY: I told the receptionist that was your fiancee.
SHAWN: Katy, I can't believe you'd lie like that.

The nurse walked into the room.
NURSE: Who are you?

NURSE: My name is Lola Dale.
KATY: What is wrong with him?
LOLA: He had an anxiety attack.

LOLA: That's right.
KATY What could cause him anxiety?
LOLA: The doctors pinned pointed to the fact that has some stress in his life.
Katy looked at Shawn.
KATY: Do you think it has do with hiding the truth from Maya?
SHAWN: Yes, I do.
KATY: We need to tell her than.

SHAWN: Christmas Day.

Katy kissed Shawn's forehead than left to make sure that Maya is okay. Katy got back to her place. Maya is sitting crying on the couch. Katy walked over and pulled Maya up into a hug.

A few hours later Maya is sitting crying. All of a sudden the doorbell rings. Katy got to her feet and walked over to open the door to find Shawn standing on the other side.

KATY: She has been crying all day.

All of a sudden Katy's cellphone rang. Katy hit the talk button.

Maya's Rage

It's next the morning. Katy woke up and realized that she's still in Shawn's embrace. Katy gasped. Shawn moaned and opened his eyes.

KATY: Yes, it is but Maya's going to be furious with me.

It has been two weeks since Valentine's Day. Cory is just coming home from work. Topanga is sitting on the couch waiting and Shawn is there also.

It is now close to Katy's birthday but the only ones who know are Maya and Shawn. Maya is just getting up and found her mother on the couch thinking.

KATY: That sounds like a wonderful idea.
MAYA: I am glad you think so.
Katy sighed.
KATY: I don't really have any other plans at the moment.
MAYA: Does your boyfriend know when your birthday is?
KATY: Yes, he does.
MAYA: Do you think he'll plan something for you?
KATY: Yes, I do but he hasn't said anything yet.
The next couple of days go by and now it is Katy's birthday. Maya walked into the kitchen where her mother is and hugged her.

All of sudden Katy's cellphone rang. Katy looked at it and seen that it is Shawn's number. Katy just smiled. Katy hit the talk button on her cellphone.
SHAWN (on the phone): Good morning beautiful and happy birthday.
KATY: I can't believe you remember.
SHAWN (on the phone): What kind of boyfriend would be if forgot your birthday?
KATY: You won't be a very good one.
SHAWN (on the phone): Do you have any plans today?
KATY: Maya is taking me out for lunch.
SHAWN (on the phone): Can I take you out for supper?
KATY: Yes, you can and that would be nice.
SHAWN (on the phone): Alright, I'll meet you around 6:30pm in Central Park.
KATY: That sounds good to me.
SHAWN (on the phone): I love you my beautiful birthday girl.

Shawn and Katy hung up on each other.
MAYA: Was that your boyfriend?
KATY: Yes, it was and he's taking me out for supper.
MAYA: Oh that's nice.
KATY: Are you still mad at me for having a boyfriend?
MAYA: Yes, I am.
KATY: Maya, you don't have to be mad.
MAYA: Yes, I do because it's ruining my whole plan.
KATY: What whole plan?
MAYA: I've been trying to set you up with Shawn since my birthday.
KATY: Why baby girl?
MAYA: Shawn is a really great guy and I really want him to be my father someday.
Katy walked over and hugged Maya.
KATY: Maya, I told not give up on your birthday wish.
MAYA: There was more to my wish than that.
KATY: What do you mean?
MAYA: I want to be a big sister someday just like Riley.
KATY: Maya, I don't know.
MAYA: Have you thought about having another child?
KATY: Yes, I have but everytime I bought up to your father he would change the subject.
MAYA: Oh I see.
Maya and Katy hangout for the day than they go out of lunch. Maya took a picture of her bag and passed it to her mother. Katy looked at it and just smiled.
MAYA: Do you like it?
KATY: Yes, I do.
MAYA: I'm glad.
KATY: Did you draw this?
MAYA: Yes, I did. The first woman is you, the second is me and the man is Shawn.
KATY: Maya, it's lovely.
A few hours later Katy is just leaving to meet up with Shawn. Katy walked to Central Park and looked around. Shawn walked over to and kissed her passionately. A few minutes later Shawn broke the kiss.
KATY: Shawn, have you every thought about having kids someday?
SHAWN: Yes, I have.
KATY: Maya told me early that she wants to be big sister just like Riley.
SHAWN: We could tried to make it happen for her.
KATY: Shawn, you unbelievable.

KATY: If was a boy I would name it Shawn Hunter Jr.
SHAWN: Wow, I'm honored.
KATY: I had a feeling you would be.
SHAWN: What if it's girl?
KATY: I hadn't really that of that one.
SHAWN: That's okay because I have.
KATY: What would want to call it?
SHAWN: Virna Angela Hunter.
KATY: I like that.
SHAWN: Thanks, my mother's name is Virna and Angela is the name of my first love.
KATY: Maya's father was my first love.
SHAWN: What is his name?
KATY: His name is Joel Clutterbucket.
SHAWN: Oh okay.
KATY: When Joel left I changed my last name back to my maiden name.
SHAWN: You haven't heard anything from him?
KATY: Yes, I have. He phoned to to tell me that he had found someone else.
SHAWN: If I meet him he's so going to pay for hurting you and Maya.
KATY: Please, Shawn don't do anything you're going to regret later on.
SHAWN: I won't regret hurting him if I'm giving the chance because he hurt you and that's not acceptable.
Katy cuddled up to Shawn.
KATY: Shawn, you're the best.
Shawn just smiled than took a little box of out his pocket and passed it to Katy.
SHAWN: Here's your present.
Katy opened up the box to reveal a Red Heart Shaped Stone Hinged Bangle Bracelet.
KATY: Shawn, it's beautiful.
Shawn pulled Katy closer to him.
SHAWN: It is but you are more beautiful.
KATY: Thanks.
They walked hand in hand Central Park. Farkle and Lucas are at Central Park. Farkle spotted Shawn and Katy walking hand in hand.
FARKLE: It's Maya's mother and Shawn.
LUCAS: You're right is.
Farkle and Lucas walked over to them.
FARKLE: Are you two dating?
KATY: Yes, we are Farkle but you can't tell Maya.
LUCAS: Why not?
SHAWN: Maya will find on Christmas day.
KATY: What have you got planned for Christmas day anyway?
SHAWN: Katy, my dear that's a special secret.
Farkle noticed Katy's bracelet.
FARKLE: That is a pretty bracelet.
KATY: Thank you Farkle.
SHAWN: I gave it to as birthday present.
LUCAS: Your birthday's today?
KATY: That's right.

Shawn and Katy walked off. A while later Shawn walked Katy back to the apartment. Shawn pulled Katy close and kissed her. A few minutes later Shawn broke the kiss.
KATY: Good night handsome.
SHAWN: Night beautiful, sweet dreams.
Shawn walked to his apartment and Katy stepped inside her apartment. Maya walked in from the kitchen.
MAYA: How was your date?
KATY: It was amazing just like always.
MAYA: Mom, you're glowing.
KATY: I've never ever felt this way about man.
MAYA: What do you mean?
KATY: I love him with every fiber of my being and I can't image my life without him in it.
MAYA: That's nice.
A few hours later Katy is dreaming about Shawn. Maya is bed dreaming about Farkle and about Shawn being her father someday. Shawn is bed dreaming about Katy. Topanga is sleeping in Cory's embrace.

Shawn's Birthday

It is three days after Katy's birthday which means it is Shawn's birthday. Shawn is hanging out with Cory and Topanga.
TOPANGA: Would you get mad if we throw you a party Shawn?
SHAWN: No, I won't as long as you invite you know who.
CORY: I already did.
All of a sudden the doorbell rang. Cory walked over to the door and opened it. Maya and Katy are standing on the other side.
MAYA: My mom told me to come with her but she won't tell me why.
CORY: It is Shawn's birthday today.

Topanga grinned and turned on the CD player.

Topanga passed the list of songs to Shawn. Shawn looked over and than started to grin. Shawn took the remote and switched the CD to song 5. The song "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole started to play. Katy gasped. Shawn took a deep breath.

Katy is still in shock. Shawn walked over to Katy.

Maya sighed than sat on the couch. Riley walked over and hugged her. Katy walked over the CD player and looked at the song list. Katy switched the CD to song 8. The song "Never Let Yo Go" by Jakaranda started to play and Katy started to sing.

A few hours later Katy is in her apartment.
MAYA: Good night mom.

Maya went to bed. Katy left the apartment and went to Shawn's apartment. Katy knocked on the door.
SHAWN (yelled): It's open.
Katy opened the door and walked in it. Katy looked around but didn't see Shawn.
KATY: Where are you Shawn?
SHAWN: I'm in the shower.
Katy sat on the couch and waited. A few minutes later Shawn came out of the shower just wearing a towel around his waist. Katy's mouth dropped in shock.
KATY: Hello there sexy.
Katy got his feet than walked over to Shawn and ran her hand threw his wet hair. Shawn pulled Katy close to him and kissed her.
SHAWN: What did you really think of my singing voice?
KATY: You are an amazingly gorgeous singing voice.
SHAWN: Thank you.
KATY: You're welcome.
Katy sighed deeply.
SHAWN: Katy, are you alright?
KATY: It's been along and I really tried.
Shawn picked up Katy in his arms and carried to his bedroom. Shawn laid Katy on his bed.
SHAWN: I'll be right back.
KATY: What I am going to wear to bed?
SHAWN: I'll find something.
Shawn went over to his dresser and picked out one of his shirts. Shawn threw that shirt at Katy.
KATY: Thanks.
Shawn took out a pair of boxers than left the room. Katy got to her feet and put on Shawn's shirt. Shawn walked back into the room wearing the boxers. Shawn laid down on the bed and pulled Katy down beside her. Shawn and Katy fell asleep in each other's embrace. Maya is her bed dreaming about Shawn being her father and telling Farkle how she feels. Topanga is in bed sleeping in Cory's embrace.
